Drain Town Rooter has about 4.9 stars on 1,740+ Google reviews, a real crew and a real license. This is the plan to make sure the next person in Mission Viejo, Lake Forest or Laguna Niguel finds you first.
A new website built around South Orange County, a city-by-city page build-out, and your first month of SEO included. From month 2, a monthly Fractional CMO plan, month-to-month.
This is not a weak business with a broken website. The reviews, the crew and the license are the things competitors cannot copy. What is missing is the set of pages that lets searchers find them.
These are not criticisms. They are the highest leverage items on the table, and every one is fixable.
Review figures come from Google and review aggregators on 2026-10-09 and move daily. We will confirm exact numbers directly on your Google Maps listing.
We ran a live grid scan of your Google Maps presence: 81 spots across about a 10 mile radius around your Mission Viejo office, for five searches homeowners really use. It shows exactly where you appear, spot by spot.
You win where your name matches the search. For the biggest searches, "plumber" and "plumbing services," you are outside the top 3 on every spot, while listings with 8 to 18 reviews sit on top. Several competing listings use the city name in their business name, which Google rewards. We review and report listings that break Google's guidelines, and we fix the parts that are in your control: your listing, your pages and your reviews.
You rank #8 standing on your own block, and 12 to 20+ almost everywhere else. Every dot is a spot on the map where we checked.
Outside the top 3 on every one of the 81 spots we checked.
Your best result: #1 on your block and in the top 3 across most of the map. "Drain" and "Rooter" are in your name.
Live grid scan on 2026-10-09: 9 by 9 grid, centered on your listing at 23342 Madero Rd, Mission Viejo. Rank 20+ means not in the first 20 results. Results change daily.
We checked 18 services across 22 nearby cities in regular Google results. None rank on page one today.
"plumber mission viejo" gets about 390 searches a month, and advertisers pay about $85 a click for it. It is your own city.
Your city pages do not rank in their own city for any of the 180 searches we checked. This ties directly to the index gap below.
Local searches for your services by city in your area, before counting "near me" searches.
The good news: your Google Maps listing already shows up in the map pack for drain and sewer searches near Mission Viejo. The website is what is missing, and that is the part we fix.
Based on live Google ranking data. Checked 2026-10-09. Rankings change daily.
The site has 10 city pages: Anaheim, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Orange, Pasadena, Santa Ana, Torrance and Whittier. None is Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point or Ladera Ranch.
In our check, only 2 or 3 of your 10 city pages appeared in Google at all (we will confirm in Search Console). When pages share most of their text and have no menu links pointing to them, Google often leaves them out. These pages use a template with no site menu, the homepage links to none of them, there is a second address for Anaheim, and the Fullerton page still carries Anaheim's name. With the city name removed, the city pages share about 70% of their text. An older Anaheim contact page is in Google while the Anaheim city page is not. Fixable.
The home page headline is "24/7 Plumbing Across Southern California" and the drain page is "Drain Cleaning Across Southern California." Nobody searches that. Homeowners search "plumber lake forest" or "drain cleaning laguna niguel."
The reviews page showed no reviews when we checked, and the review screenshots on the site are images that Google cannot read. Named, dated, job-specific quotes are what turn 1,743 reviews into rankings and trust.
The site uses call tracking, which is smart, but we found 6 different numbers across the site code, the vans and your listings, including (949) 352-4417 on the buttons and (949) 787-0813 in the footer. That sends Google mixed signals about who you are. The fix: one number in the site footer, your Google Maps listing and directories, with tracking numbers used on ads only. Please confirm which number should be primary.
Water heater repair, leak detection, sewer camera inspection and repiping have no dedicated local pages, so specialists win those searches by default. Swift Water Heater, for example, shows up for water heater searches in Mission Viejo.
In the searches we ran for Mission Viejo, Lake Forest and Laguna Niguel (plumber, drain cleaning, emergency plumber, water heater repair), these companies appeared:
Most of them have dedicated pages for the cities you are missing, and most have far fewer reviews than you do. The gap is page coverage, not reputation.
We did not see local business markup (the code that lets Google show your stars) on the pages we checked, and the city page index check needs a look inside Search Console. We will confirm both in week one and share what we find.
A homeowner with a backed up drain does not browse. They call the first plumber who looks local and trustworthy. When that is not you, the job and the years of repeat work after it go elsewhere.
The numbers in the calculator are illustrative assumptions, not predictions or promises. Change them to match what you actually see. We left out repeat customers and referrals on purpose, so the real figure is likely higher.
At these assumptions, one month of recovered calls is worth about 0x the monthly cost of the $3,500 per month plan. Rankings take time to build, so treat this as the size of the prize, not a timeline.
We built a sample of the work with your real logo, phone number and license. These are working drafts, not final copy, and not live on your domain.
A full 14-page site: services hub, 6 service pages, reviews, about, financing and contact, with a real menu on every page and one phone number. Your real logo, crew, license and reviews up front.
The search where you rank #8 at your own office today. This is the model for every city page, with a "Recent work" block built from your real jobs.
Drain cleaning, built out in full: what it costs, how it works, the questions homeowners ask, and clear next steps to call.
This is the map we would build, starting with the cities closest to your Mission Viejo office and moving outward.
37 cities times 12 services is a lot of possible pages. We do not publish them all. We build the combinations people actually search for, and every page gets real local detail: neighborhoods, the age of the homes, photos of your crew's jobs, and a real review from that area.
Pages go live a couple at a time, never in bulk. Google rewards pages that are genuinely different from each other, and punishes copy and paste with the city name swapped.
It is the same live lead dashboard you already check for Thrive, now counting Drain Town calls and form leads.
Visits, calls and form leads by day, with a date picker and a conversion rate. Plus a short written report and a call with Matt each month, so you always know what moved and what we do next.
Sample numbers for illustration only.
$5,000 for the new website with the first month of SEO included, then $3,500 a month for Matt as your fractional CMO, hosting included. Month-to-month, cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
A complete rebuild of draintownrooter.com on a fast, conversion-focused foundation, built around Mission Viejo and South Orange County.
Matt as your fractional CMO, for the cost of a mid-level marketing coordinator. One senior person accountable for where your marketing dollars go.
Fast hosting, security, backups and unlimited small edits (new offers, hours, photos, a new technician bio). First month included with the website, and then included at no charge while you are on the Fractional CMO plan. If you ever stop the plan, hosting and edits continue at $99 per month.
Pages can be indexed in days. Specific searches like a service in a smaller city usually move first. The most competitive searches, like "plumber Irvine," take months of authority building, and no one can honestly promise Google a date.
You pay $5,000 for the new website at signing, and that includes your first month of SEO and hosting. The $3,500 a month Fractional CMO plan starts in month 2, one month after signing, with hosting included.
Month-to-month, no contract lock-in. If you do not see the trajectory you expected, you can stop with 30 days notice. We wrap up active work and hand over every asset: page files, keyword sheet and reports. We earn your renewal every month.
The rebuild is what lets every city page load fast, look the same, and convert callers. We keep your domain, your content and your rankings, with redirects from every current page. If you would rather start smaller, say so and we will talk through the options.
Please send your domain registrar login and access to your Google Maps listing. If you are comfortable, access to your CRM or job records and a few recent job photos would also help, so each city page can show real local work. We will take care of the rest and tell you exactly what we need as we go.
No one honestly can. What we can promise is the work: the pages, the listing, the reviews and the reporting, shown to you live. Some searches move in weeks, the harder ones take months.
Your call. We recommend building South Orange County first, where your office and crew are, and keeping other pages only where trucks really go. We would rewrite them with real local content either way.
Reply to Matt's email or call, and we will set up a short call to walk through the pages and the plan. Once you are ready, please send your registrar login and Google Maps listing access. If you are comfortable, access to your CRM or job records and a few recent job photos let us show real local work on every city page. The build starts the same day. Month 1 of SEO is included in the website build. The monthly plan starts one month after signing.
