Repiping for older homes
When old pipes keep leaking, repairing one leak at a time stops making sense. We replace tired supply lines with copper or PEX and leave you with plumbing you can stop thinking about.
Signs your pipes are done
- Leaks that keep showing up in different places
- Pinhole leaks in copper
- Rusty or discolored water from the tap
- Low water pressure throughout the house
- Plumbing that dates to the home's original build
Copper or PEX
| Copper | PEX | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Traditional rigid metal pipe | Flexible plastic tubing |
| Install | Soldered joints, more labor | Fewer fittings, often quicker |
| Cost | Typically higher | Typically lower |
| Best for | Homeowners who want the traditional standard | Homes where limiting wall access matters |
General comparison. We recommend based on your house and your goals.

Repiping FAQ
How do I know if my home needs repiping?
Repeated leaks, pinhole leaks, discolored water, low water pressure, and plumbing that is decades old are the usual signs. One leak does not always mean repipe, and we will tell you honestly when a repair is enough.
Copper or PEX?
Both are widely used. Copper is traditional and long-lived. PEX is flexible and often quicker to install. Which is better depends on your home, your budget and your preferences, and we explain the trade-offs.
How disruptive is a repipe?
Repiping means access to walls and ceilings, so there is some disruption. We plan the work to limit it, explain the sequence, and handle the patching plan with you before we start.
Do I need a permit?
Repiping generally requires a permit and inspection. We handle that as part of the job.
Can I finance a repipe?
Financing is available for larger jobs. See our financing page, then call us to talk through options.
